The Polaris Star Awards is an annual celebration honoring the individuals and organizations leading the fight against human trafficking. Hosted by United Abolitionists, Inc., in collaboration with the UCF Center for the Study of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, the event highlights extraordinary efforts to combat modern slavery through education, advocacy, and survivor support.
The awards ceremony takes its name from the Polaris Star, the guiding light for slaves seeking freedom along the Underground Railroad. Since 2011, over 100 individuals and groups have been recognized for their transformative contributions to this cause.
