A Message from Tomas J. Lares, UA Founder/President
November 3, 2020
Dear Friends, Partners & Abolitionists,
Amy Smith was a single mom of a special needs infant when she was tricked and forced into sex trafficking. Her trafficker threatened to hurt her infant if she did not cooperate, tried to stop or informed the authorities. Amy ended up as a sex slave for 2 years until she was able to escape with herself and her daughter.
Amy Smith is now a survivor leader and on the board of United Abolitionists. She graduated recently from Barry Law School and is a consultant and trainer for the anti-trafficking movement.
Please continue to stand with us as we continue to assist those victimized by this horrible crime via our 24/7 hotline, triage, care coordination, and training to first responders, healthcare clinicians, hospitality workers, and the community at large.
Thank you for your continued partnership in the fight against modern-day slavery and human trafficking!
Freedom 4ALL,
Tomas J. Lares
