A Message from Tomas J. Lares

UA Founder/President
June 1, 2021
Dear Friends, Partners & Abolitionists,

As we near the halfway mark in 2021, it has truly been a year of restitution. So far this year, we have received 360 calls on our hotline, 85 individuals have been assisted and/or referred to programs, 294 services have been rendered and multiple pro bono services and volunteer hours have been given in the healing and recovery of survivors.

On June 18, 2021, the establishment of a diversion court in Orange and Osceola counties will be launched to serve women who have been arrested for prostitution and/or human trafficking. Women who have been victimized will be given a path of healing and restoration. United Abolitionists is partnered with the Office of the Florida State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in facilitating this program.

This summer, United Abolitionists will officially launch our Training and Learning portal which will provide various training modules and learning opportunities for first responders, hospitality and transportation workers, faith and community leaders, and much more. This expansion will allow UA to have a global impact in the fight against human trafficking as we have already trained ten of thousands here in the United States over the last 12 years.

Thank you for your prayers and continued financial partnership. Only together can we stop this monstrous crime!

Freedom 4ALL,

Tomas J. Lares
